1. Introduction

Dead Unicorn Inc ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Glowzy AI mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

By using Glowzy AI, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Facial Photographs ("Face Data")

When you use our face scanning feature, we collect photographic images of your face that you voluntarily provide. Specifically, we collect:

• A front-facing selfie (required), captured via your device camera or selected from your photo library.
• An optional side-profile selfie, captured or selected the same way.

We do not collect biometric identifiers, face geometry, depth maps, or facial recognition templates. The data we collect consists solely of standard photographic images.

2.2 Derived Facial Analysis Data

From your selfie images, we derive the following information using third-party AI services (see Section 5):

• Aesthetic scores (0–100) for categories including overall appearance, potential, femininity, skin quality, jawline, and cheekbones.
• Descriptive facial characteristics, including eye shape, face shape, canthal tilt, and eye color.
• Generated "glow-up" images— AI-generated transformation images based on your selfie, created for aspirational and motivational purposes.

2.3 Profile Information

We may collect information you provide when creating a profile, including your name, email address, and beauty preferences.

2.4 Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you use the App, including device information, app usage patterns, and interaction data to improve our services.

3. How We Use Your Face Data

Your facial photographs and derived analysis data are used exclusively for the following purposes:

• Facial aesthetics analysis: Your selfie images are sent to OpenAI's API to evaluate facial features and generate personalized aesthetic scores and facial characteristic profiles.
• Glow-up image generation: Your front selfie is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate an AI-created "glow-up" transformation image showing a realistic, enhanced version of yourself.
• Personalized experience: Derived facial characteristics (e.g., face shape, eye shape) are stored in your user profile to provide tailored beauty guidance, tips, and product recommendations.
• Progress tracking: Historical selfies and scan results are retained to allow you to track changes over time.
• Paywall personalization: Your selfie image may be displayed within the in-app purchase screen (powered by Superwall) to provide a personalized paywall experience. Superwall receives a temporary image URL solely for this display purpose.

We do not use your face data for facial recognition, identity verification, advertising targeting, or any purpose other than those described above. Your face data is never sold or licensed to any third party.

4. How We Use Other Information

We use the non-facial information we collect to:

• Personalize your experience within the App
• Improve and optimize our services
• Communicate with you about updates, features, and support
• Ensure the security and integrity of our services
• Comply with legal obligations

5. Third-Party Services and Face Data Sharing

To provide our core features, your facial photographs are shared with the following third-party services strictly for processing purposes. These services receive temporary image URLs and do not retain your images beyond what is necessary to complete the processing request:

5.1 OpenAI

Your selfie images are sent to OpenAI's API (GPT-4o-mini) for facial aesthetics analysis. OpenAI processes the images to generate aesthetic scores and identify facial characteristics. Per OpenAI's API data usage policy, data submitted via the API is not used to train their models. For more information, see OpenAI's API Data Usage Policies.

5.2 Google Gemini

Your front selfie is sent to Google's Gemini API for glow-up image generation. Google processes the image to generate a transformed version of your photo. For more information, see Google's Gemini API Terms of Service.

5.3 Superwall

A temporary URL to your front selfie may be shared with Superwall solely for the purpose of displaying a personalized in-app purchase screen. Superwall does not store, process, or analyze your facial images beyond rendering them in the paywall interface. For more information, see Superwall's Privacy Policy.

5.4 Convex (Cloud Infrastructure)

All facial photographs, derived analysis data, and generated images are stored on Convex, our cloud backend and database provider. Convex provides secure data storage and does not independently access or use your face data.

We do not sell, license, or share your face data with any other third parties for advertising, analytics, or any purpose other than those described above.

6. Data Storage and Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information, including your face data, against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Your facial images, analysis results, and generated glow-up images are stored securely on Convex's cloud infrastructure using industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.

Temporary local copies of your selfie images may be cached on your device for performance purposes. These local copies are stored in the App's sandboxed storage and are not accessible to other applications.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

7.1 Retention Period

Your facial photographs, scan results, derived facial characteristics, and generated glow-up images are retained for as long as you maintain an active account with Glowzy AI. Historical selfies and scan results are preserved to enable progress tracking over time.

7.2 Account Deletion

You may permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time through the Settings > Delete Account feature within the App. Upon account deletion, the following data is permanently and irrecoverably removed:

• All facial photographs (front and side selfies)
• All scan results and aesthetic scores
• All generated glow-up images
• All derived facial characteristics and profile data
• Your user account, authentication records, and sessions

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Data sent to third-party processors (OpenAI, Google Gemini) prior to deletion is subject to those providers' respective data retention policies, though these services do not retain API-submitted data for training or long-term storage under their current terms.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information, including your face data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, including any facial photographs and analysis data
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, including all facial photographs, scan results, and generated images, by using the in-app Delete Account feature or by contacting us
• Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format
• Objection: Object to certain processing of your data

9. Children's Privacy

Glowzy AI is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information, including facial photographs, from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete such information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
